Evaluation question 3

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? (studio, TV, Web, DVD

i would like our film to be distributed by UK channels such as film four, working title and metronome . We also would like it to me done via the microwave scheme because it will make the film become popular and successful. The microwave made a really good success of this film called shifty which has been well known to the public. We would like it to be presented in cinemas. We are distributing our films for this reason because we think that it will become a good success for our film making.

Evaluation question 2

How does your media product represent particular social groups? ( gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity and etc)

In the film power cut it stars with to male characters in the film. The ethnicity in the film is there is a mixed male and a white male in the film. The ages in this film are young ages that has a bit of a stereotype that young males are mainly bad. It shows that young people are actually presented in a bad way. The class in this film is middle a normal average middle class males that are doing there work . In our film we also use the stereotypes of hoodies because in the film power cut we see him put his hoody on after collecting his weapon. The main stereotypes in our film are presented as negative.

Evaluation question 1

In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

in my film " power cut" it starts with and opening scene of the buildings where the characters are. We used this to gradually create suspense to the audience as the film goes on.

IMAGE                                                     We use a similar openings to real horror films. the film is    based on a worker who goes to murder one of the other staff in the building

We got this idea from the film the Watch men. We got the idea from the scene where we see a main character get murdered in a big building. Our film is similar because we both based it in a big building . We all use similar mis en scene because both of the killers in the films faces are a bit covered and we both have weapons.

In The film "power cut" it starts of with 2 characters in a building at there work place. We see "Klaus" one of the main characters come in to "Georges" office and hands him over the keys and say bye. WE then get introduced to "George". "Klaus" then cuts of the power, go gets a weapon and wears a hood to cover his face. "Klaus" then makes his way to "Georges"office to kill him. WE used a power cut used in The birds to make the film more interesting and more tense to the audience.

We also get the idea of "klaus" being a murder from the thriller Tv show where dexter turns in to a killer at night this is also similar to fight club when the character is a split personality. This makes the film more interesting and catches the audiences attention.

We also got the idea from "Psycho" to make the film a black and white film to make it stand out from different from other films. I think it worked really well with our film.

We didn't use to much inspiration from a lot of films but we mainly made up most of the scenes off what we liked instead of using inspiration out of films.
